This June I spend my first time in Tennessee. I was commissioned by the lovely Ingrams family to paint a recreation of a Remington statue they owned called “crossfire”. Crossfire is also the name of Preston Ingram’s company. The painting was to celebrate the crossfire theme of Preston’s career life. I suggested to place Preston as the featured rider on his own horse “Rooster” making it a much more personal representation of  the crossfire we were depicting. It’s scale of 43×54 inches illustrated the grit and details missed in the online small depiction of the painting. the most rewarding part of this painting was getting to know the loving warmth of the Ingrams. I miss Tennessee.
